During the work (usually completely unexpected), there may be a question - and how to bend a profile pipe at home? To date, there are several fairly effective techniques, and in the presence of a certain skill with the task, you can cope without contacting the workshop to professionals.

Method 1. Using pipe bending machines

When we talk about flexible profile pipes, then most often meaning the formation of a specific radius arc. The more this radius, the easier it is our task, since so the inner cavity will be subject to less deformations ().

Note! Bending round and profile pipes at right angles will not work: the break is practically guaranteed. For this purpose, either a welded joint is usually used, or special adapters that allow you to docile two separate segments.

If the need for the manufacture of arcs occurs quite regularly, then it is necessary to purchase a manual or stationary profilegail machine. It is a device with several rollers that affect the workpiece, giving it the desired shape.

The instruction on work on the pipe bender is quite simple:

  • The detail of the desired size is placed in the machine and clamp in the attachments.

  • Thick pipes are better flexing in the factory conditions after preheating: due to an increase in the plasticity of the metal, the quality of processing is increased.

Method 2. Trimming and welding

However, the pipe bending apparatus is not always at hand. That is why any master is worth studying in advance how to get a profile tube at home using more common tools.

If the integrity of the inner cavity is not critical for us, you can use the angular grinding machine and the welding machine:

  • Using a blank or template, we make the pipe, after which we take plugs and drain the water.

In the warm season, as well as in the processing of thick-walled blanks, the water replace sand:
